Hendra grew up in a pleasant & quiet little town called Tanjung Pinang (Indonesia), where he spent a good part of his childhood
learning drawing and exploring adventures in forests.
His journey in photography began right after graduation from university in Singapore. It was like a rediscovery of an old passion for drawing at first,
but being able to 'paint' beautiful digital drawing of scenes around him was even more exhilarating!
With proper guidance from his father who is an avid photographer since the film days, Hendra was quickly able to operate manual cameras
with his right eye still stuck in the viewfinder. In fact, sometimes, he still takes his father's old Minolta film SLR out for photo walks!

His photographic passion is Nature. When people in love were brought together in a rustic, natural environment,
there can be boundless expression of creativity and feelings to be painted as a visual story.
And as an animal lover himself, many animal friends find themselves very comfortable being around Hendra, too.
We've even joked about animals not feeling threatened as food around Hendra because he only eats greens :-P
So if you have a pet, he'd love to photograph them with you! People & Paws! The picture then would be really complete ;-)
